About CSPC

The Colorado Springs People’s Coalition is a grassroots organization dedicated to the people’s movements in Colorado Springs.

Our Mission

We strive to engage everyday people in political struggle and build movements to fight repression and enact social change.

Our Vision

We envision a world in which every human experiences freedom and self-determination, has access to basic necessities, and enjoys quality of life, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, class, ability, religion, or other aspects of identity.

Our Values and Principles

We believe...

  • The struggle can take many forms and is dependent on the will of the people.
  • The will of oppressed and marginalized peoples should lead the struggle.
  • In unity through action–there are no ideological barriers to engagement, and we should unite all who can be united. We follow the St. Paul Principles of Unity.
  • In solidarity as practice–we are nobody’s savior, and must practice being in partnership with others in all political activity.

We fight for...

  • Liberation and self-determination for all
  • LGBTQ+ rights
  • A free Palestine
  • Land back
  • Black lives
  • Peace and justice

We fight against...

  • Repression
  • Police crimes
  • Prison-industrial complex
  • Military-industrial complex
  • Imperialism
  • Oligarchs
  • Border walls
  • Climate crisis
  • Human rights violations

Our Work

To accomplish our mission, bring our vision to reality, and live out our values and principles, we organize campaigns and actions around specific issues and causes, such as:

No More Inmate Deaths

Combatting deteriorating conditions in the El Paso County jail, which caused nine inmate deaths in 2022.

Condemn Police Crimes

Providing support for the family of Brandon Harris, who died by suicide after the Colorado Springs Police Department chased him into a Burlington Coat Factory with weapons drawn in 2023.

Solidarity with Palestine

Advocating for a free Palestine as Israel intensifies decades-long apartheid and its genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people.
